Rap artist YoungBoy Never Broke Again has announced the release of his fifth studio album, I Rest My Case. The album was originally titled Black and was announced in late November, alongside the release of a joint mixtape with Quando Rondo titled 3860. The album features 19 songs, including previously released tracks “Top Girls,” “Black,” and “Groovy.” This marks YoungBoy’s first full-length release under Motown Records, and his first proper studio album since The Last Slimeto, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The album’s release follows the gift of a compilation project titled Lost Files to fans just two weeks prior. Fans can stream I Rest My Case on various platforms including Apple Music and Spotify.
YoungBoy, hailing from Baton Rouge, has had a successful career with a slew of projects released in 2022. In announcing the album, he shared a message on social media stating, “If you just listen to what I’m saying you’ll hear I ain’t promoting violence, stupid fuck. It’s either you gone follow or stay tf out my way.” The artist encourages listeners to pay attention to the message in his music rather than promote violence.
