April Lampros has filed a lawsuit against Diddy, alleging that he sexually assaulted her multiple times in the mid-’90s and attempted to do so again in the early 2000s. The lawsuit includes claims of sexual assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, with Bad Boy Records, Sony Music Entertainment, and Arista also listed as defendants for allegedly enabling Diddy.
Lampros met Sean Combs when she was a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She accuses him of raping her at the Millennium Hotel in 1995 and forcing her to perform oral sex on another occasion. Lampros claims that in 1996, Diddy made her come to his apartment, where he forced ecstasy on her and then demanded she have sex with Kim Porter while he watched and masturbated.
Although Lampros was able to end her ties with Diddy in 1998, she alleges that he attempted to sexually assault her at her apartment in 2000 or 2001. The lawsuit also claims that Diddy recorded himself having sex with Lampros and showed the tape to others.
Lampros’ attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, is also representing other clients who have sued Diddy for sexual assault. In a statement shared by Blackburn, Lampros expressed her confidence that justice will prevail and that other women will not have to endure what she did.
This latest lawsuit against Diddy follows a separate accusation of sexual assault by former model Crystal McKinney in a different lawsuit. Complex has reached out to Blackburn’s office and Diddy representatives for comment.
In another ongoing lawsuit involving Diddy, Lucian Grainge and UMG were recently dropped as defendants. Diddy’s legal representative has denied the allegations in that suit and called the plaintiff a liar.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has confirmed that criminal charges cannot be filed in connection with Diddy’s assault of Cassie, which was captured on surveillance footage from 2016. Cassie released a statement acknowledging the support she has received since the video was made public.
Diddy has shared an apology video in response to the footage, expressing regret for his actions.
