Tina Knowles, the mother of Beyoncé, recently revealed that her granddaughter Blue Ivy has been instrumental in helping her navigate social media. In a podcast appearance on Vogue’s The Run-Through, the 70-year-old shared how Blue Ivy keeps her in check when it comes to her online activity.
Knowles admitted, “You know how many times I’ve liked something that was negative about my own children? Because if I’m busy and I’m going through the thing, I’m like, ‘Ooh, there’s Beyoncé with so-and-so. I like that.” She went on to explain that sometimes fans would point out the negative posts she had inadvertently liked, prompting Blue Ivy to intervene.
According to Knowles, Blue Ivy would occasionally call her and say, “Grandma, that’s really wack, what you just did. That’s really wack. You should delete that. Really, you should delete that.” It seems that Blue Ivy’s keen eye and social media savvy have been invaluable in ensuring that her grandmother maintains a positive online presence.
