Bobby Shmurda Expresses Frustration with Fans and Streaming Platforms, Requests to Stop Requesting New Music

It has been almost two years since Bobby Shmurda released his first project after being released from prison, and he is not holding back when it comes to his thoughts on the music industry. Shmurda served over six years for gang conspiracy charges before being released in 2014. In February 2021, he dropped “Bodboy,” a nine-track EP, which was his first project since his 2014 breakthrough with “Shmurda She Wrote.”

“Bodboy” was a precursor to Shmurda’s highly anticipated debut album, “Ready To Live,” although there is no clear release date for the LP. Despite this, Shmurda has been able to maintain momentum by releasing a series of guest verses. Most recently, he collaborated with American entrepreneur Eli Taylor-Lemire on the track “On Something,” which was accompanied by a music video.

Even with his continued relevance in the music industry, Shmurda seems disillusioned about his future in rap. In a recent tweet, the 29-year-old rapper urged fans and critics to stop pressuring him to release new music. He expressed frustration with American streaming platforms for not supporting his music because he doesn’t conform to certain norms within the industry.

It’s clear that Shmurda is facing challenges within the music industry, but his resilience and determination to stay true to himself are evident. Fans will have to wait and see what the future holds for Bobby Shmurda and his music career.
