Sukihana has a message for fellow parents: “watch your children” when it comes to the music, film, and TV they consume on a regular basis. In a recent conversation on Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion, the artist behind “Cocaine” talked about her own children and where she stands on lyrical content.
“I’m an adult entertainer. I make vulgar music,” Sukihana said, emphasizing that she doesn’t let her kids listen to her own music. She believes that kids should be allowed to be kids and that monitoring what they listen to is important.
Reflecting on her own childhood, Sukihana shared that her mother took away her DMX and 2Pac tapes, not allowing her to listen to certain music. This experience shaped her perspective on raising children and the importance of monitoring their media consumption.
Sukihana also mentioned that her approach applies to male artists as well, and she discussed the impact of certain TV shows and films on young minds. She emphasized the importance of parents being aware of what their children are watching and listening to.
“Just watch your children,” Sukihana advised. She understands the influence that media can have on young minds and encourages parents to be vigilant in monitoring their children’s exposure to certain content.
