The highly publicized divorce between rapper Jeezy and media personality Jeannie Mai has been officially finalized. The former couple, who share a two-year-old daughter named Monaco, will now have to navigate co-parenting and putting aside their differences for the sake of their child.
According to reports from Entertainment Tonight, the divorce, originally filed by Jeezy last September, was officially concluded on Tuesday in Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court. The details of the settlement, child support agreement, and parenting plan order have been kept confidential to protect the privacy of all parties involved.
As the legal proceedings came to a close, both Jeezy and Mai were instructed not to share any details of the settlement agreement or child support arrangements with the public in any form of media or on social media. The couple had tied the knot in Atlanta in March 2021, but unfortunately, their marriage was short-lived leading to the divorce filing.
The separation between Jeezy and Mai was not without drama, with public accusations of infidelity, domestic abuse, and neglectful parenting being thrown back and forth. Mai even made allegations of Jeezy leaving firearms accessible to their daughter, which he vehemently denied. Both parties have refuted each other’s claims, with Jeezy calling the accusations of physical abuse deeply disturbing and false.
Jeezy and Mai began dating in 2018, shortly after Mai’s divorce from her first husband. Jeezy, on the other hand, had children from previous relationships. Despite the challenges they faced during their relationship and subsequent divorce, both Jeezy and Mai will need to put their differences aside to focus on co-parenting their daughter and moving forward with their lives separately.
