Black Hippy enthusiasts, get ready for some exciting news. Kendrick Lamar’s highly anticipated Juneteenth event, The Pop Out, was a star-studded spectacle. However, the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the Black Hippy reunion.
What began as a solo performance by Kenny quickly turned into a moment to remember when Jay Rock joined him on stage for “Money Trees.” The excitement only grew as Ab-Soul made a surprise appearance for the live debut of “6:16 in LA.” And just when fans thought it couldn’t get any better, Schoolboy Q emerged for a performance of “Collard Greens.”
Prior to this epic reunion, the group’s latest collaboration was a remix of “That Part,” which featured Kanye West and appeared on Q’s 2016 album, Blank Face LP.
Despite Q’s previous dismissal of rumors regarding a Black Hippy reunion on The Danny Brown Show, the group’s electrifying performance at The Pop Out definitely left fans feeling elated.
