Eddie Murphy recently hinted at the possibility of releasing another album or single in the future. Despite not shutting down the idea completely, he mentioned that he has come close to putting out new music multiple times over the years. Currently, he is focusing on other projects as he got rid of his in-home studio setup last year to make room for one of his children to move back in.
One of Murphy’s most recognized songs, “Party All the Time,” reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart back in 1985. The hit song, written by the late Rick James, was featured on Murphy’s album “How Could It Be,” released in the same year. This album has since been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
