Shaq Facilitates Official Release of Jay-Z and Nas’ “No Love Lost” Collaboration

In the same year that Shaq’s “Reign” album was released, the early seeds of the infamous feud between Jay-Z and Nas were starting to sprout. This feud, still alluded to in modern discussions (most recently during the Kendrick Lamar and Drake feud), eventually came to an end in the mid-2000s. However, it took nearly two more decades before “No Love Lost” was officially released.

Fast forward to today, “No Love Lost” is just one of the many collaborations between Jay-Z and Nas after their feud. Their latest track together, “Sorry Not Sorry,” was released in 2021 as part of DJ Khaled’s “Khaled Khaled” album. The song, which also features James Fauntleroy, reached No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

These collaborations between two former rivals show how time and music can bring people together, even after past animosities. The evolution of their relationship from adversaries to collaborators is a testament to the power of music to heal old wounds and create something beautiful.
