Kanye West is facing legal troubles once again, according to TMZ. A recent lawsuit names Ye and his former chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, as defendants. The lawsuit, filed by former employees, alleges forced labor, inhuman treatment, and racial discrimination while they were working on a music streaming app for West.
The staff claims that Kanye and Yiannopoulos created a racist work environment, exposing employees, including minors, to inappropriate content. They also allege that they were promised payment, forced to work long hours, and subjected to racist remarks. The employees were hired to develop the app, YZYVSN.
In the spring of 2024, Ye and Yiannopoulos reportedly hired a diverse group of developers, including international hires, Black individuals, and minors as young as 14. Despite promises of a $120,000 payment if they completed the app without complaints, employees were reportedly forced to sign NDAs and endure racial slurs from management, such as “new slaves.”
