The individual shared pictures of themselves posing together at various events. DJ Akademiks also posted a similar tweet on his Akademiks TV account, falsely stating that Henson was 46 while Drake was 23.
While speculation about a romantic relationship between the two celebrities circulated online in 2010, Henson explicitly denied dating the rapper during an episode of the Wendy Williams Show in November 2011.
During her appearance on the show, Henson, who was 41 at the time, clarified, “Drake was a friend. It was cute because I knew he liked me and I kept looking at him like, ‘If you were 10 years older, boy, whew,’ but no. I couldn’t, because he is seven years older than my son.”
To clarify, Drake was 25 years old during that Wendy interview, while Marcell Johnson, Henson’s son born in 1994, was around 17 years old.
There has been no response from Henson regarding the renewed dating rumors following the BET Awards.
