Ever since Kendrick Lamar released “Not Like Us” on May 4th, he has been relentless in maintaining his stance. His recent Inglewood extravaganza, Ken & Friends: The Pop Out, brought together the West Coast in a display of unity and bravado, sending a strong message to a common adversary. The impact of the event resonated through the subsequent video, predominantly filmed in Compton and appropriately unveiled on the 4th of July. It seems that Drake can’t seem to catch a break from criticism on any American holiday.

Beyond the exuberant dance scenes that seemingly celebrate Drake’s demise, the music video is rich with hidden references, providing ample material for fans to dissect and analyze. Many of these Easter eggs appear to be direct responses to Drake’s insults.
