Wiz Khalifa, the popular rapper, recently ran into some legal trouble during his performance at the Beach, Please! Festival along the Black Sea Coast in Romania. According to Agence France Presse, the 36-year-old artist was charged with illegal drug possession after the event.
The Romanian anti-organised crime prosecutors (DIICOT) stated that during his performance at the music festival in Costinesti, Khalifa was found to be in possession of more than 18 grams of cannabis. Moreover, he was seen consuming another quantity of the substance in the form of a handmade cigarette on stage. In Romania, cannabis is classified as a “risk drug,” with possession of such substances potentially resulting in up to ten years of imprisonment.
Various videos of Khalifa smoking while performing on stage have been circulating across social media platforms. Additionally, a separate clip depicting the rapper being escorted from the venue by the police has also made rounds online.
