New Judge Recuses Herself from Young Thug’s YSL RICO Trial After Replacing Glanville

The recent development in the YSL RICO trial involves Judge Ural Glanville being recused and replaced by Ingram on a temporary basis. Court documents seen by Complex on Monday revealed that Glanville’s recusal was prompted by a meeting with a state witness. While the court acknowledged that Glanville could continue fairly as a judge, his removal, along with Ingram’s, was done to uphold public confidence.

The removal of Glanville had been a topic of discussion in the weeks leading up to the decision. Thug’s lawyer, Brian Steel, had previously filed paperwork seeking Glanville’s removal due to alleged misconduct.

A new judge, Paige Reese Whitaker, has now been assigned to the case, as reported by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. This change follows the removal of Glanville and the appointment of Ingram in the YSL RICO trial.
