Anderson .Paak, the multi-talented star, has joined forces with Jameson Whiskey to introduce a new music initiative called ‘Distilled Sounds’. This innovative programme aims to discover and bring together 20 emerging talents from around the world to collaborate and create something completely unique.
Launched recently, ‘Distilled Sounds’ leverages .Paak’s charisma and knack for making unexpected connections to unite artists from various regions such as India, South Africa, North America, Europe, and Malaysia. Based at the Jameson Sound Distillery in Cook, this project will see .Paak and his team orchestrating a week-long creative session for these musicians to explore their combined skills.
Speaking about the Sound Distillery, Anderson .Paak expressed his excitement, stating, “The Sound Distillery will provide artists from different corners of the world the opportunity to come together and unleash the magic of collaboration. There is no substitute for the face-to-face connection and energy required for songwriting, which is why we are bringing artists from diverse backgrounds to Ireland for a week of creativity, jamming, and music-making at our Sound Distillery.”
He added, “I am eager to meet, teach, and support these talented artists and share the music we create. It’s all about fostering connections! The global music scenes are brimming with creativity, and merging them to create something fresh for the fans is truly exciting. Who knows – we might even invent a new genre! The Sound Distillery is a venture unlike any other I have undertaken, and I am thrilled to kick things off.”
To kickstart the initiative, Jameson Whiskey has released a captivating short film featuring Anderson .Paak and his alter ego DJ Pee Wee at their radio station JJ Smoove 178.0. View the film at the top of this page, and stay tuned for updates on the Jameson Distilled Sounds Hub and on YouTube.
