King Kay and Director Lx Embrace Luxury on ‘Magnus Opulence’

King Kay recently shared with Complex UK that he aimed to create an immersive experience with his latest project, drawing inspiration from ASMR vibes to evoke certain emotions through sound. His trip to Japan last year played a significant role in shaping the project, evident in tracks like ‘Yohji Yamamoto’, which pays tribute to the legendary Japanese designer, ‘Shibuya Interlude’, and ‘Nia’. The project concludes with ‘Heavenly Father’, a track that delves into thought-provoking themes relevant to the current state of the world.

Director Lx also expressed his excitement about the project, mentioning that he and Kay started the collaboration purely out of passion for music. Despite juggling work and personal life, the duo created what they consider a masterpiece that combines their love for music and fashion on upbeat tracks perfect for both daytime and nighttime cruising.
