Young Thug’s Lawyer Arrested for Contempt During RICO Trial

Young Thug’s attorney, Brian Steel, found himself in hot water when he was arrested for contempt of court after he refused to disclose the source of information related to the rapper’s ongoing RICO trial. The incident occurred on Monday when Judge Ural Glanville took Steel into custody for failing to reveal how he learned about a secret meeting between the judge, prosecutors, and key witness Kenneth Copeland. Judge Glanville deemed that Steel had obtained information from the meeting, violating court protocols in the process.

Despite repeated warnings from Glanville threatening contempt charges, Steel remained steadfast in his refusal to disclose his source. The judge gave Steel an ultimatum, stating, “I’m going to give you five minutes. If you don’t tell me who it is, I’m going to put you in contempt.”

The standoff between Steel and Judge Glanville came to a head when Steel ultimately gave in and provided the information that had been requested. The lawyer’s arrest and subsequent contempt charge serve as a reminder of the importance of transparency and cooperation within the legal system.
