In recent legal filings related to their divorce proceedings, Iman Shumpert has alleged that Teyana Taylor is earning nearly double his monthly income. According to TMZ, the former NBA player is arguing that he should not have to pay as much in child support as he currently does because Taylor is bringing in almost twice as much money as he is each month. Shumpert stated that he earns around $47,981 per month before taxes, while Taylor reportedly nets $98,885 monthly.
Currently, Shumpert is paying $8,000 per month in child support and mentioned that he is willing to continue doing so. However, he suggested that they should split the expenses for health services for their children outside of major medical costs. This contradicts claims made by Taylor in her divorce filing last year, where she accused Shumpert of being envious of her success and pressuring her to not work, only to complain about her financial contributions to their family. Shumpert had a lucrative NBA career, earning a total of $48 million from various contracts, but has not played professionally since the 2021 season.
