Ashanti, the R&B singer, is reportedly already married to Nelly, as per TMZ. The couple legally tied the knot on Dec. 23, 2023, making their union six months old. The marriage was officiated in St. Louis County, Nelly’s hometown, although the exact location is not disclosed.
In addition to being married, the couple is also expecting their first child together. Despite already being legally married, they are still planning a public ceremony for their marriage. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ashanti mentioned that the event will have a mix of fashion, glam, and Caribbean vibes.
Ashanti expressed her vision for the ceremony, stating that she envisions a beach setting with sunshine, palm trees, and ocean views. She also shared behind-the-scenes footage of her island-themed maternity shoot. The couple is eagerly awaiting the arrival of their new baby, who will be Nelly’s third biological child. In addition to their own children, Nelly has also adopted two children from his late sister, Jackie Donahue.
