Ye discusses feeling like a deadbeat on new Rich the Kid collaboration

In a new song with Ty Dolla Sign and Rich the Kid, the artist formerly known as Kanye West expresses his struggles as he feels like a king treated like a peasant. The song, titled “Gimme a Second 2,” was released on Friday following the original “Gimme a Second,” which featured Peso Pluma. Both tracks, along with the hit “Carnival,” will be included on Rich the Kid’s upcoming album, “Life’s a Gamble.”

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign make appearances on the third verse of “Gimme a Second 2.” In his verse, Kanye raps about his oldest child telling him he’s not going to Heaven, being treated poorly, and accused of not being present. He also mentions feeling like he was replaced as a father. The Grammy winner concludes the verse by declaring that he doesn’t care about anything and considers himself irreverent.

In a 2023 episode of Hulu’s “The Kardashians,” Kim Kardashian, who was married to Kanye West for seven years, shared that she had hired a male nanny because she wanted a male presence around their children. Despite feeling nervous, Kim stated that Kanye was nice to the nanny when they met. The couple shares four children together, including North, Chicago, Saint, and Psalm.
