This led to a falling out between the two, which eventually resulted in a confrontation with Fat Joe.
Mase recalled a specific incident where Fat Joe approached him in a New York City nightclub, leading to further conflict between them. Another incident occurred when Mase was hanging out with friends on the block he used to frequent, and a stranger suddenly demanded their possessions at gunpoint. Mase, along with his childhood friend God Shammgod, quickly assessed the situation and decided it was best to comply with the demands to avoid escalation. Mase reluctantly took off his Rolex and threw it at a nearby car to distract the robber while he and Shammgod made their escape.
Despite initially thinking the situation was not serious, Mase acknowledged the danger they were in and prioritized their safety over material possessions. As they fled the scene, the police arrived and apprehended the would-be robber.
