CamelPhat: “Dance Music Is Our Life”

Living in Ibiza this season has had a significant impact on both clubbers and DJs alike. The abundance of opportunities to party can lead to some heavy hangovers, but this year has been different for CamelPhat. They have made a conscious effort to balance the partying with healthy activities like going to the gym, running, hiking, and exploring unseen parts of the island.

Over the years, CamelPhat’s goals for their residency have remained the same – they want to provide a successful night for their audience. They aim for people to leave feeling satisfied with their experience, ensuring they get their money’s worth. Despite being only in their second year of residency, CamelPhat aspire to become the biggest night on the island, competing with established artists like Marco Carola and Solomon.

Apart from being top DJs, CamelPhat are also talented producers. Last year, there was talk of an unfinished track with Noel Gallagher. While there hasn’t been much progress on that front, Noel remains open to collaborating in the future. CamelPhat also mentioned working with artists like London Grammar and Jake Bugg, emphasizing their preference for indie vocalists over more traditional club vocalists.

The Liverpool connection is evident in CamelPhat’s music, combining indie and dance elements seamlessly. Collaborating with artists like Miles Kane, who hails from Liverpool, adds a unique touch to their music. As they continue to work on their third album, slated for release next year, CamelPhat are focused on staying fit, touring, and keeping their ticket sales up.

Looking beyond their residency, CamelPhat are excited to start working on their third album, which will likely be released on their label, When Stars Align. Despite the challenges of finding the right vocalists and staying healthy while touring, CamelPhat are grateful for the support of their fans and the opportunity to do what they love.
