During a recent episode of “It Is What It Is,” Cam’ron shared a story about an encounter with former Duke men’s basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski that didn’t exactly go as planned. As Cam and Mase were finishing up the show, Krzyzewski appeared in the studio and caught Cam’s attention. Excited to see the legendary coach, Cam left the studio to ask for a picture.
However, much to Cam’s surprise, Coach K ignored him and walked by without acknowledging his request. Feeling slighted by the snub, Cam went on a rant, accusing Krzyzewski of paying his players under the table before the implementation of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) agreements.
In a heated moment, Cam called for an investigation into Coach K’s financial dealings, alleging that the coach owns multiple banks in North Carolina and has been funneling money to players for years. Despite being brushed off by Krzyzewski, Cam was determined to expose what he believed to be unethical practices.
In his rant, Cam highlighted Coach K’s connections to high-profile players like Zion Williamson and Grant Hill, suggesting that the coach has been paying athletes through his banks to make the transactions appear legitimate. Cam’s bold accusations added a layer of controversy to what started as a simple attempt to take a photo with a basketball icon.
