Fat Joe Questions Kendrick Lamar’s Potential Response to Drake’s Diss

Lamar’s fiery verse on “Like That” was released on streaming platforms as a part of Future and Metro Boomin’s collaboration album, We Don’t Trust You, on March 22. Not long after, Drake responded with his leaked track “Push Ups” on April 13, which was officially released on April 19. Despite the short time frame, Drake seemed to have a longer window to prepare his response.

Just recently, Drake dropped the controversial “Taylor Made Freestyle” as a follow-up to his initial response. The track featured AI-generated versions of 2Pac and Snoop Dogg’s voices, causing quite the stir. However, the song was ultimately taken down from Instagram after Pac’s estate threatened legal action in a cease-and-desist letter.

In the letter, Pac’s estate expressed their disapproval of the use of the late rapper’s voice in the context of targeting Lamar. They emphasized that Lamar has always shown respect towards Pac’s legacy, making the use of his voice in this manner especially troubling. Despite the backlash, Drake has remained silent on the matter and has not addressed the removal of “Taylor Made Freestyle” from his social media platform.
