Pet Shop Boys and Drake Reach Resolution Over Sample of “West End Girls”

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Pet Shop Boys opened up about a situation involving Drake, though the Canadian rapper never directly acknowledged the tweet in question. Pet Shop Boys vocalist Neil Tennant shared that the two parties have since “sorted out” the issue, despite initial confusion on their end due to the lack of communication from Drake’s team.

Tennant explained that after realizing the unauthorized use of their track, the group decided to address the issue by posting about it on social media. This led to a quick response from Drake’s team, who promptly reached out to apologize for the oversight. Although Drake expressed interest in meeting with the Pet Shop Boys to discuss the matter further, a meeting never materialized.

Despite the initial misunderstanding, Tennant noted that the situation was resolved amicably, with both parties reaching an agreement on the use of the track. He even mentioned that he personally enjoys the track in question, indicating that there are no hard feelings between the two artists.
